Provided are near field communication (NFC) system, device, and method of performing authentication using motion tracking. The NFC system, device, and method allows each device to generate authentication data based on the result of tracking motions of the other devices whenever NFC is performed and authenticated between the devices, and allows a device which verifies authentication requests to determines whether to grant authentication using the generated authentication data, thereby generating new authentication data whenever authentication is performed and increasing the variability of motions to enhance randomness and thus significantly improving NFC security, and enabling devices to simultaneously generate authentication data to effectively block relay attacks and the like.
