PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal mold for casting in which both of groove width enlarging and carbon film thickness increasing can be achieved, and suppression of entering of molten metal into grooves, suppression of peeling of a carbon film etc. can be achieved.SOLUTION: The metal mold 1 for casting according to the invention of the present application is a metal mold 1 for casting which has a mold surface subjected to laser processing and carbon film coating, and comprises plural grooves 2 which are formed by laser processing with a prescribed interval, plural protrusive parts 3 which are protrusive between the plural grooves 2, and plural carbon parts 4 which are embedded in the plural grooves by the carbon film coating processing. Molten metal flows on the mold surface in which the protrusive parts 3 and the carbon parts 4 are arranged alternately, and the opening width of the grooves 2 is 45 μm or less and the depth is 60 μm or more. The protrusive part 3 includes, on the top surface of the protrusive part 3, plural fine grooves 5 subjected to laser processing for reducing the contact area with the molten metal. |
