<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet folding device with a comparatively simple configuration, in which the moving range of butting members is comparatively small, while the device does not increase in size, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Roller pairs 61-63 that can perform folding processing to a sheet are disposed along conveyance paths A1-A4. Branched conveyance paths B1-B3 branching off from the conveyance paths A1-A3 and having the butting members 81-83 variable in the butting positions are arranged at the position on an upstream side with respect to the roller pairs 61-63. Further, switching members 71-73 that switch between a path for the sheet to be conveyed to the roller pairs 61-63 side and a path for the sheet to be conveyed to the branched conveyance paths B1-B3 side are arranged at the position on the upstream side with respect to the roller pairs 61-63.
