<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid in which the projection direction of a connector is hardly deviated. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a solenoid 1 which drives a plunger by a magnetic field generated in a coil. A disc-like end cap 30 closing a case opening end 19b includes: an outer circumferential fitting surface 32a which is fitted to the case opening end 19b; and an outer circumferential mold surface 32b which is opposed to a case cut-away window 19e and faces a mold resin 14.
