POLYURETHANE-BASED EXPANDABLE POLYMER PARTICLE

Expandable polymer particle comprising at least one thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) having a Vicat softening point (according to ISO 306/ASO) of below 80[deg] C, and 5-95 wt.% of at least one polymer that is obtained by radical polymerization, in relation to the sum of TPU and polymer that is obtained by radical polymerization, where styrene polymer is bonded to the TPU as a comb polymer, graft polymer, or copolymer, is new. An independent claim is included for producing the expandable polymer particle by prefoaming the expandable polymer particles.
