the invention concern a method for producing a fibre-reinforced plastic component, comprising the steps that a mould core (10) is made from an integral foam (11) with a closed skin (12) and with an open-cell foam core (13) connected to the skin (12); a fibre component and a plastic component of a fibre-reinforced plastic are laid-up on the skin (12) of the mould core (10); the fibre-reinforced plastic is cured; gas is evacuated from the foam core (13) so that the mould core (10) implodes or collapses or shrinks; the imploded mould core (10) is removed from the cured fibre-reinforced plastic.
