The invention relates to a fixing device comprising a hinge fitting (1) applied to a glass element (3), in particular to a joint hinge for a shower cabin door. In order to improve a power flux, thereby attaining a holding value, the invention is characterised in that an undercut anchor (5) is inserted into an undercut anchor hole (8) embodied in the glass element and the hinge fitting is screwed into the axial stop (10) of the undercut anchor.
