<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate estimating torque of an internal combustion engine by a little arithmetic operation load, when operating the internal combustion engine having one throttle in the air-fuel ratio different with every cylinder or with every cylinder group. <P>SOLUTION: This control device determines the reference air-fuel ratio based on the request air-fuel ratio to the respective cylinders or the respective cylinder groups, and calculates the target air volume for achieving request torque under the reference air-fuel ratio. While controlling opening of the throttle in response to the target air volume, a fuel injection quantity of the respective cylinders is controlled in response to the request air-fuel ratio to the respective cylinders or the respective cylinder groups. This control device also calculates the air-fuel ratio with every cylinder by using the fuel injection quantity and the air volume of the respective cylinders, and calculates a variation value of the average air-fuel ratio of the whole cylinders and the air-fuel ratio between the cylinders from the air-fuel ratio of the respective cylinders. The estimating torque of the internal combustion engine is calculated by using the average air-fuel ratio and the air volume, and the estimating torque is corrected based on the variation value of the air-fuel ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
