摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium alloy coil material having a substantially homogeneous metal structure over the full length of the coil material. <P>SOLUTION: In this magnesium alloy coil material 2 formed by winding a lengthy material comprising a magnesium alloy, the average grain size of 100 or more continuous crystal grains of the magnesium alloy is 20-80μm. The magnesium alloy coil material 2 is produced by a production method including: a heating step of heating in a heat treatment furnace, at least one coil material formed by winding the lengthy material comprising the magnesium alloy; and a cooling step of dipping the coil material passing through the heating process into a coolant stored in a coolant tank to cool it. In the heating step, the atmosphere is stirred by a soaking unit having a convection unit for convecting the atmosphere in the heat treatment furnace, to thereby heat substantially uniformly all the coil materials in the heat treatment furnace. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
