Provided is a gaze position estimation system capable of estimating a gaze position of a user without detecting the center position of an iris or estimating the projected position of the center of an eyeball. In the present invention, an image capture unit (17) captures the face of a user watching a screen displayed upon display means. An area detection unit (32) detects a face region of the user and/or a predetermined site region other than an eye of the user, and a region of the eye of the user on the basis of the captured image of the image capture unit (17). An area/position information acquisition unit (60) acquires area information and position information of the eye region, and area information and position information of the face region and/or the predetermined site region. A gaze position estimation unit (62), on the basis of the area information and the position information acquired by the area/position information acquisition unit (60), estimates the position within the screen being gazed at by the user.
