<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a sealing effect to be obtained for a long term when a seal material constituted by embedding a water impermeable member into rubber is used. <P>SOLUTION: A seal material 10, which is arranged so as to cover a joint between adjacent structures and is configured so as to seal the joint, comprises: a belt-like rubber part 11; and a water impermeable sheet-like core material 12 embedded in an intermediate part in the thickness direction of the rubber part 11 and formed so as to correspond to a band shape of the rubber part 11. The core material 12 has a folding part 12a folded so as to overlap with each other in the thickness direction in an intermediate part in the width direction of the rubber part 11. The seal material 10 is configured such that the rubber part 11 is deformed by a tensile force in the width direction against the rubber part 11 while the folding part 12a changes shape in a developing direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
