PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the continuous production as a sheet-like stock or a molding material wound up in a roll and the production of a highly accurate mechanical part by a method wherein some part of or all the molding material obtained by winding up a sheet-like stock made by a paper-making method is pressure- molded into a predetermined shape. SOLUTION: A phenolic resin powder, a glass fiber, an amide fiber and a carbon powder blended in the ratio of 35/20/10/35 are dispersed in water so as to be treated in a paper-making method and, immediate after that, wound up into a roll as a sheet-like base material in order to obtain a molding material. Next, this molding material is transferred into a mold having a predetermined size and subjected to be molded under heat and pressure under the state being pressed from above and below and then, after being cooled back to room temperature, cut with a cutter into the shape of doughnuts so as to produce thrust washers by polishing the whole surface of the resultant doughnuts. Since through the immediate winding-up of the sheet-like stock made by a paper-making method into a roll so as to be pressure-molded into a predetermined shape, this molding material can be continuously produced. |
