<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay lens system for a high dynamic range projector.SOLUTION: A relay lens system includes an optical input, an optical output, one or more lenses configured to relay light from the optical input to the optical output, and an aperture diaphragm configured to provide the light being relayed through the one or more lenses with a predetermined number of apertures, where the combinations of the predetermined number of apertures and the one or more lenses are configured to bring about spherical aberration to change the shape of pixels of the light between the optical input and the optical output, to a function having an upper boundary and a lower boundary based on the distances from the center of the pixels and the dimensions of the pixels of a dither pattern of the light made incident on the optical input, from a substantially square shape at the optical input.</p> |
