PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery excellent in both of rate characteristics and cycle characteristics even when used in conditions of severe temperatures and charge/discharge current equivalent to or more than those of conventional ones, such as in automobile applications.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material; a negative electrode; and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The nonaqueous electrolyte contains at least one kind of acid selected from a group consisting of an inorganic acid, a sulfonic acid and a carboxylic acid, At least one of the positive electrode, the negative electrode and the nonaqueous electrolyte includes a basic compound. |
