The present invention is to provide a book holder for reading a book which is suitable for portability by reducing overall volume using a fixing structure capable of maintaining an unfolded state of a book for reading. Accordingly, a book holder for reading a book is configured such that: integrally formed upper and lower plate bodies are folded by a transversal hinged steel wire installed between the upper and lower plate bodies to be stacked so that inner plate surfaces of the upper plate body and the lower plate body may be in contact with each other. In the upper plate body, an upper elastic string installed in parallel with the transversal hinged steel wire on the inner plate surfaces of the upper plate body and both ends of which are combined to the upper plate body is installed. In the lower plate body, a lower elastic string installed in parallel with the transversal hinged steel wire on the inner plate surfaces of the lower plate body and both ends of which are combined to the lower plate body is installed. In a middle part of the width of the lower plate body among the inner side plate surfaces of the lower plate body, a first elastic string hanger to hang the lower elastic string at a position closer to the transversal hinged steel wire than the lower elastic string is installed. |
