FIELD: electricity.SUBSTANCE: control device for detection of defects in a channel of a component includes a core, the first coil wound about the core in the first direction, and the second coil wound about the core in the second direction. The first and the second directions are orthogonal to each other; a protective material enveloping the core, the first coil and the second coil, and a controller having a possibility of controlling the control device. Optionally, the above controller provides current flow in the first coil and in the second coil for formation of electromagnetic fields in orthogonal directions directed along the channel and in the side direction of the channel respectively.
