The present invention relates to a novel gene capable of adjusting a flowering period of a plant and a method for adjusting a flowering period of a plant by using the same. In particular, the present invention relates to: a novel plant flowering adjusting CmSOC1 gene derived from standard Chrysanthemum morifolium Jimba; a plant over-expression vector including the gene; a method for inducing early flowering of a plant by using the vector; and a transformed plant. In the present invention, a separated CmSOC1 gene may be usefully used in investigating a flowering adjusting path of a single plant including Chrysanthemum morifolium Jimba and an interaction factor. By adjusting a flowering period of a plant, early flowering may induce a reduction in growing time for harvesting flowers and seeds and an increase in production. Through late flowering, a nutritious growing period is extended, so that an effect in increasing productivity of plants using leafs or stems may be expected. |
