The fin (40) has a fin body made of a fiber-composite material and forming an outer surface of the fin. Separated inner hollow areas are formed in the fin body. The fin body comprises a front leading edge (41) facing a rudder and a rear trailing edge (42) facing away from the rudder. Stiffening elements in the form of intermediate floors are arranged between the front leading edge and the rear trailing edge. The separated inner hollow areas are filled with a foamy filler material e.g. high-strength and water-tight foam. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a fin of a rudder for a water vehicle. |
