摘要 The present invention relates to a jelly-roll type electrode assembly having improved structure, and more specifically, to a jelly-roll type electrode assembly designed to form an areal or gradual gradient of the loading amount of an active material, and effectively disperse stress caused by expansion of a battery when charging and discharging the battery after winding a jelly roll. According to the present invention, the jelly-roll type electrode assembly loads a relatively small amount of the electrode active material at the center of the electrode assembly in a jelly-roll shape, thereby solving stress while winding, and preventing bending of the jelly-roll. Also, since power caused by expansion of the electrode active material while charging and discharging the battery is not concentrated at the center, the electrode can prevent degradation of performance caused by damage.
