Disclosed are a FMCW radar using an IQ demodulator and an operating method thereof. The FMCW radar using the IQ demodulator according to the present invention comprises a waveform generator to successively generate a pair of the FMCW waveforms composed of up chirp and down chirp; a 90 degree hybrid coupler to output a Q signal having a 90 degree phase with an I signal having a 0 degree phase based on the generated FMCW; a switch connected to an output end to output the Q signal or an output end to output the I signal; a mixer to generate a Q reception signal by mixing the Q signal inputted through the switch with the received signal and to generate the I signal by mixing the I signal inputted through the switch with the received signal; an ADC to convert I reception data and Q reception data by digitalizing the generated I reception signal and the generated Q reception signal; and a processor to obtain IQ multiple data by combining the converted I reception data and the converted Q reception data. |
