Disclosed are an active-passive device and a method for collecting data by utilizing a probabilistic model in a facility control network. A cache unit stores measurement data and control data collected from local devices connected through a facility control network. An active-passive synchronizing unit performs a first collecting operation for collecting data for the local devices by a transmitting data request frame through the facility control network, and a second collecting operation for collecting data for the local devices by listening to a communication frame between the local devices. When each of the data collected through the first collecting operation and second collection operation and stored in the cache unit is in a standby state until the data is updated through the second collecting operation without performing the first collecting operation thereon, a first collecting operation schedule for each of the data stored in the cache unit is determined based on predicted delayed time estimated based on a probabilistic model about a step for the second collection operation. An active-passive medium accessing unit transfers data obtained from the frame received through the facility control network to the active-passive synchronizing unit, or transmits a frame for collecting data for the local devices of the facility control network according to a request from the active-passive synchronizing unit. According to the present invention, without increasing a load in an internal system, small delay time may be provided for an external system, and construction costs may be reduced in various systems requiring data collection from a control network. |
