In the present invention, the following are carried out: a shaft connection cutting step for breaking the connection between rotational apparatuses (10, 20) each of which is connected to one of the two sides of a shaft (31) of a generator (30); a gap formation step for forming a vertical-direction gap between the generator (30) and an installation stand (40); a pathway installation step for inserting in the gap a portion of a moving pathway member (70) that extends in the lateral direction and that includes a component which is in the horizontal direction and a component which is in the shaft (31) radial direction; a movement step for moving the generator (30) in the lateral direction atop the moving pathway member (70); and an inspection step for inspecting the generator (30) following the movement step. |
