PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-wheel motor the axial direction of which can be shortened at a low cost, without increasing the radial dimension.SOLUTION: An in-wheel motor, i.e., an electric motor 1, includes a motor housing 8, a motor stator 9, a rotating shaft 6, a motor rotor 10, and rotation sensor 30. The rotating shaft 6 has a shaft 6a supported rotatably by a plurality of bearings 11, 12, a flange 6b spreading from the outer periphery of the shaft 6a to the outer diameter side, and a cylindrical section 6c extending from the outer diameter end of the flange 6b in parallel with the shaft 6a, and to the outer periphery of which the motor rotor 10 is fitted. The rotation sensor 30 is arranged between the plurality of bearings 11, 12, on the inner diameter side of the cylindrical section 6c of the rotating shaft 6. |
