PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding wheel and a grinding method which, in forming several hundred or more of fine grooves in parallel, have high processing accuracy, and are capable of performing processing efficiently.SOLUTION: In a grinding processing method, by using a grinding wheel 1 on which a plurality of grinding stone parts, whose cross section is substantially triangular and have a first side, a second side, and a tip part at which the first side and the second side cross, are arrayed in parallel on an outer periphery of a base metal, first grooves G(1) having a width of 1/n (n=integer of 3, 4...) of a gap between adjacent grinding stone parts 3 are formed on a surface of an object to be ground 8. Then, the grinding wheel 1 is shifted with respect to the object to be ground 8 by 1/n, second grooves G(2) having the width of 1/n are formed adjacent to the first grooves G(1). Then, the grinding wheel 1 is shifted in the same direction as movement from the first grooves G(1) to the second grooves G(2) by 1/n, and third grooves having the width of 1/n are formed adjacent to the second grooves G(2). Such action is continuously repeated for n times to form n-th grooves, by which n or more grooves G having the width of 1/n of the gap between the grinding stone parts 3 are formed in parallel. |
