<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a drive method of the display device that are high in display quality.SOLUTION: A display device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an error diffusion unit 28 that adds feed-back error data of a previous frame and error data diffused from a peripheral pixel to pixel data of each pixel of a display element, and generates error addition data; a sub-frame data generation unit 31 that generates sub-frame data using upper bit data of the error addition data; and a drive control part 34 that digitally drives a plurality of sub-frames included in one frame, using the sub-frame data to thereby drive a pixel of a display element. Error data of an object pixel is calculated using lower bit data of error addition data of the object pixel, and the feed-back error is calculated using the error data of the object pixel and the error data of the peripheral pixel.</p> |
