<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery and a manufacturing method of the sealed battery, which reduce influence of a variation (manufacturing variation) of a thickness (average thickness) of a second thin wall part of a safety valve exerting on a variation of a valve opening pressure of the safety valve. <P>SOLUTION: A sealed battery 100 includes a metal safety valve 150 which has a first thin wall part 151 and a groove-shaped second thin wall part 152 being thinner than the first thin wall part 151.
