PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current detector allowing both high dynamic range and high resolution.SOLUTION: A current detector 1 includes: an annular magnetic material core 2 with a portion opened to form a magnetic gap; a Hall element (detection element) 3 disposed in the magnetic gap and detecting a magnetic flux density generated on the magnetic material core 2; a first coil 4 wound around the magnetic material core 2; a second coil 5 wound around the magnetic material core 2; a power supply unit connected to each of the first coil 4 and the second coil 5 and outputting feedback current; and a microcomputer 6. The microcomputer 6 selects at least one coil 4 or 5 of the first coil 4 and the second coil 5, supplies feedback current from the power supply unit to the selected coil 4 or 5 based on the magnetic flux density detected by the Hall element 3, and detects current flowing through a conductor based on the feedback current. |
