PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confirmation device and a confirmation method for confirming displacement of a wall capable of confirming displacement of the wall partitioning a first area and a second area to provide information on safety corresponding to the displacement state of the wall with an operator.SOLUTION: A confirmation device confirms displacement of a wall partitioning a first area and a second area by receiving a laser beam radiated in a direction set from a reference position. The confirmation device includes: a plurality of light receiving areas that are mounted on the wall and provided according to a distance from the wall; and display means that displays information on displacement of the wall according to a detection signal from the light receiving area that has received the laser beam.
