PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image acquisition device capable of capturing a still image of a sample being moved with reduced distortion and a sufficient S/N ratio.SOLUTION: An image acquisition device 1 captures images of a sample S being irradiated with flashes of light using a rolling readout-compatible image sensor 6, which allows for capturing even feeble optical images with sufficient S/N ratios. The image acquisition device 1 has a light source control unit 13 (control unit) which makes a light source 3 (light emitting means) irradiate a flash of light in a period from the start of exposure of a pixel row to be read last to the start of reading of a pixel row to be read first. In other words, the light source control unit 13 of the image acquisition device 1 makes the light emitting means irradiate the sample with flashes of light while all of the pixel rows of the image sensor 6 are being exposed. Thus, each pixel row simultaneously receives an optical image light of the sample S, which enables acquisition of a still image with suppressed distortion. |
