The invention relates to a process for increasing the weathering resistance and/or strength of a porous article, in particular a brick, by penetration of a plastic into the capillaries and pores of the article. A gas (1), in which minute droplets (8) and/or molecules of a curable, in particular monomeric plastic fluid are suspended, is introduced, in particular injected and/or drawn in, into the capillaries (7) and pores of the article (2).
