PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required for updating.SOLUTION: The receiver has a correction section 150 for correcting phase compensation of segments in which plural phase-compensated segments are connected to each other. The correction section includes: a timing generation section 152 that generates timing for initializing the phase compensation amount based on the phase of a known signal; a correction amount generation section 153 that generates a correction amount for correcting the amount of phase compensation based on phase compensation of the phase of a known signal; and a phase correction section 155 that performs the phase correction on the phase compensation by the correction amount which is generated by the correction amount generation section. The receiver is applicable to a receiver for processing segments which are transmitted being connected to each other.
