<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape device in which a foreign matter and dirt attached to a magnetic tape sliding plane of a magnetic head can be removed easily with simple constitution, then cleaning performance can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic tape device 10 is configured such that the device includes: a magnetic head drum mechanism 108 consisting of a rotary drum 108A and a fixed drum 108B arranged on a concentric axis; a magnetic tape which covers an outer peripheral plane of this magnetic head drum mechanism 108, also which is slid in a helical state, and which runs with constant speed; a magnetic head 110 attached to a lower part outerperipheral plane of the rotary drum 108A and performing reading and recording of a magnetic tape; and a head cleaner mechanism part 20 in which a cleaning roller 24 for cleaning a tape sliding plane of this magnetic head 110 is equipped. Then, a cleaning roller circumferential speed-setting mechanism 25 for increasing relative rotary speed of rotary speed of the cleaning roller 24 and rotary speed of the rotary drum is equipped at this head cleaner mechanism part 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
