This process for recovering components of electrical equipment consists in subjecting the metal parts to an extraction 12 with the aid of solvent vapour, the celulose-based materials to an extraction 48 by mixing with a solution which has no affinity for PCBs and copper reels, after treatment and grinding, to a removal 37 of the paper and 39 of the enamel insulating the turns from each other. The device for treating the metal parts consists essentially of a leakproof chamber fitted with a cover with hermetic closure. The device for treating the cellulose-based materials consists essentially of a compartmented tank permitting the regeneration of the solution which has no affinity for PCBs, equipped with partitions provided with small holes in the lower part. The device for removing paper and enamel consists essentially of an inclined tank provided with a cover and equipped with a concentric grid. <IMAGE>
