PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle charging system which can suppress power consumption of a control device while not charging a battery in a connected state with a charging cable.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle charging system comprises: a charging apparatus 10 which charges a battery 20 with power supplied from an external power supply 90 via a charging cable 70; a CPU 34 which is started up in response to start up signals continuously transmitted via the charging cable 70 while the external power supply 90 and the charging apparatus 10 are electrically connected by the charging cable 70; and a switch 56 which is provided on a signal line L4 for receiving the start up signals input via the charging cable 70, and switches between opened state and closed state of the signal path. When the CPU 34 is started up in response to the start up signals, the CPU 34 determines whether to charge the high voltage battery 20, and when the CPU 34 determines not to charge the high battery 20, the CPU 34 outputs an instruction signal to the switch 56 to release the signal path. |
