An image forming device (1) is provided with an image forming unit (12), an intermediate transfer belt (125), a drive roller (125A), a secondary transfer roller (210), a brush unit (80), a cleaning device (70), a power supply device (81), and a grounding unit (82). The brush unit (80) is disposed in a position more on the downstream side in the direction of travel of the intermediate transfer belt (125) than the secondary transfer roller (210) and facing the drive roller (125A) through the intermediate transfer belt (125). An electric potential difference is imparted between the brush unit (80) and the secondary transfer roller (210) by the power supply device (81) and the grounding unit (82), and a current flows with the same polarity as a normal charge polarity flowing from the brush unit (80) through the drive roller (125A) to the secondary transfer roller (210). |
