The footwear further includes an insect repellent. The insect repellent may be on a strip. The strip is retained on the strap. The strip can be removed from the strap and replaced with a different strip. One of the strap or insect repellent strip has at least one opening for disposition about a post contained on the other of the strap or the insect repellent strip.
