PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric material which uses KNaNbOas a base material, is not harmful to the environment, and is excellent in productivity while retaining practicable piezoelectric characteristics.SOLUTION: The piezoelectric material comprises a sintered compact and is obtained by adding a Zn-based glass containing ZnO in largest quantity and FeOto a compound represented by general formula: KNaNbO(wherein 0.02≤x≤0.5). More preferably, in the piezoelectric material, the Zn-based glass and the FeOare each added in a mass ratio of >0 and ≤1.0 wt.%. |
