摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission mechanism capable of reducing friction and pumping loss of an engine.SOLUTION: A torque converter 4, unlike a conventional torque converter, is configured so that a turbine runner 45 is coupled to a torque converter cover 43, a torque converter input shaft 41 is coupled to a pump impeller 44, and a torque converter output shaft 42 is coupled to the torque converter cover 43. A reverse-direction speed reducing mechanism 5 constituted by a planetary gear mechanism is provided between an engine 2 and a transmission 3. A rotary shaft 61 of a motor generator 6 is coupled to a ring gear 54 of the reverse-direction speed reducing mechanism 5 whereas the torque converter input shaft 41 is coupled to a sun gear 51 thereof. The torque converter cover 43 coupled to the torque converter output shaft 42 also acts as a carrier 53 of the reverse-direction speed reducing mechanism 5.</p>
