<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste heat generation device by which efficient power generation is made to be performed when a work flowing on a conveyor is used as a heat source. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a waste heat generation device in which a thermoelectric power generation unit 3 having a heat receiving plate 9 and a thermoelectric power generation module 7 is arranged on the upper side of a conveyor 2 having a work W after hot forging as a carrying object, and the work W itself is used as a heat source. Only the lower surface of the heat receiving plate 9 is opened, the whole thermoelectric power generation unit 3 except the opened lower surface is made to have a heat insulating effect by being surrounded by a heat insulating material 13. Radiation heat from the work W is positively guided to the heat receiving plate 9 by using the lower parts of the upstream side and the downstream side out of the heat insulating material 13 as inclining-shaped skirt parts 14, 15, and convection generated directly under the thermoelectric power generation unit 3 by heat from the work W is prevented from escaping to the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
