摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a compression ignition type engine which performs compression ignition combustion in a predetermined region, for reducing power consumption required for supplying ozone.SOLUTION: The control device for the compression ignition type engine includes a controller (a PCM 10) for, when the operating condition of an engine body (an engine 1) is in a compression ignition region, allowing compression ignition combustion to operate the engine body. When the operating condition of the engine body is in a low-load region where a predetermined load is lower than that in the compression ignition region, the controller sets a timing for fuel injection by a fuel injection valve (an injector 67) to be earlier than the first half of a compression stroke and uses an ozone generator 76 to introduce ozone into a cylinder 18. When the operating condition of the engine body is in the low-load region, the controller also sets ozone concentration on the high-speed side to be lower than on the low-speed side.
