PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress checking cost of an electric generator in which rotary electric machines are connected to both ends of a shaft, respectively.SOLUTION: A method for checking an electric generator includes: a shaft disconnection step in which the connection to rotary electric machines 10, 20 connected to both ends of a shaft 31 of the electric generator 30, respectively, is disconnected; a clearance forming step in which a clearance in the vertical direction is formed between the electric generator 30 and an installation base 40; a route installation step in which a part of a moving route member 70 extending in the horizontal direction including a horizontal direction component and a radial component of the shaft 31 is inserted into the clearance; a moving step in which the electric generator 30 is moved in the lateral direction on the moving path member 70; and a checking step in which the electric generator 30 after the moving step is checked. |
