PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system in which a cache driver on a business server and a management server jointly control data arrangement on a storage server, and a method for controlling data arrangement.SOLUTION: A computer system comprises a plurality of business servers, a storage server which stores data, and a management server. A business server includes an operating system. The operating system includes a cache driver. The storage server manages a plurality of hierarchy storage regions in which access performance differs. The management server includes an alert setting information generation unit and a control information generation unit. The alert setting information generation unit generates alert setting information for transmitting alert information used by each of the plurality of business servers to notify the timing to change data arrangement according to the state of the business. The control information generation unit generates cache control information including a command which controls cache data arrangement in a storage cache and hierarchy control information including a command which controls inter-hierarchy data arrangement in the plurality of hierarchy storage regions. |
