<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately read documents having a light reflection part.SOLUTION: An image reading unit 3 includes: a plurality of light sources 21 that are arranged in the main scanning direction to irradiate a document G with light; an imaging element 28 that performs a document reading operation where the irradiation light of the light sources 21 reflected on the document G is made incident; and a control unit that reduces, when there are portions in which the intensity of light made incident on the imaging element 28 becomes equal to or larger than a threshold during the document reading operation, the intensity of the irradiation light of the light sources 21 corresponding to the portions, and causes the imaging element 28 to perform the document reading operation from the beginning.</p> |
