摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsified aqueous ink which comprises a co-solvent and an electrorheological fluid including a liquid phase and a solid phase, provides good wetting of an intermediate receiving member and efficient transfer to a final substrate, and is suitable for use in an indirect printing method.SOLUTION: An electrorheological fluid comprises a liquid phase and a solid phase. The liquid phase comprises an insulating oil, such as a silicone oil, vegetable oil or mineral oil. The solid phase comprises organic particles, or inorganic particles of a metal oxide, a non-oxide material or the like with a loading of 0.1 to 60 wt.%. The aqueous ink further comprises an anionic or cationic surfactant, and has an average emulsion droplet size of about 25 to 500 nm. The ink has a surface tension of about 15 to 50 mN/m, and a viscosity of about 2 to 20 CP at 30°C.
