Provided is a power supply device capable of determining the presence or absence of an abnormality in a specific converter from among multi-phase converters and also provided is an abnormality determination method for the power supply device. An output voltage (Vo) is supplied to a battery (4) and a load (5) by a single converter (CVj, where j is a natural number of n or less) among n converters (CV1, CV2, …, CVn) connected in parallel, and when a switch (Sja) is turned on/off only during time (T1) so that the output voltage (Vo) becomes a target voltage (Vt), it is determined whether the difference between the output voltage (Vo) and the target voltage (Vt) is larger than a predetermined threshold value (Vth) or not. It is determined from this determination result whether or not there is an abnormality in the converter (CVj), the switch (Sja) of which has been controlled to be turned on/off. |
