A self-contained electrical treatment apparatus has a periodic switch connected in series with a vibratory switch so that oscillatory current derived from the vibrator is administered in timed bursts. The battery 10 is connected through a main switch 13 to a periodic timing switch 23, giving any desired interval, and to the coil 21 of an interrupter switch having a vibratory contact 16, giving approximately 100 interruptions per second. In a parallel circuit 14, the primary coil 11 of output transformer 26 and the interrupter contact 16 are connected across the battery so that sharp pulses of current pass through this primary winding at a frequency of 100 c.p.s. Each secondary coil 31, 31, 31 is wound on a separate limb 27, 28, 29 of the core, so that variations in the loading of one output branch do not affect the others. |
