<p>Animal apparel 1, particularly a horse rug, for use with animals within electrified enclosures. The apparel comprises a conductive material 10-16 threaded through the apparel so as to provide a first portion of the conductive material which is contactable, in use ,with an electric fence and a second portion of the conductive material which is contactable, in use, with the animal. Preferably the conductive material is threaded through part of the seam or binding of the apparel. Alternatively at least a portion of the seam or binding comprises a conductive material. The apparel prevents or at least deters an animal from escaping an electric enclosure by receiving an electric charge from the electric fence and discharging it to the animal.</p> |
