A method of estimating at least one parameter of interest in a borehole penetrating an earth formation, comprising: using an nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) tool in the borehole to produce a static magnetic field in the earth formation and align nuclear spins within the earth formation; altering nuclear spins by producing radio frequency (RF) magnetic pulses as an output of a transmitting antenna on the NMR tool; using a receiving antenna for receiving signals indicative of the altered nuclear spins and comprising NMR data acquired by the NMR tool; using a processor to estimate the at least one parameter of interest using NMR data acquired in the borehole by the NMR tool, a model of the earth formation based on imaging data, and at least one characteristic of the NMR tool.
