One embodiment of the present invention relates to a rechargeable secondary battery. The technical problem to solve is to provide a rechargeable secondary battery which prevents the damage to separator and/or collector plate and an inner short phenomenon by not allowing laser beam and/or spatter to flow inside of a non-coated portion of an electrode assembly when welding a collector plate to the electrode assembly using a laser beam. To achieve this goal, the present invention of the rechargeable secondary battery comprises: a case; an electrode assembly accumulated in the case; an optical adsorption member coupled with the electrode assembly; a collector plate welded to the electrode assembly and adhering to the optical adsorption member; and a terminal linked to the collector plate and extended to the outside of the case.
