<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for external use, which imparts excellent moisture retention, wettability, lubricity and gloss to the skin or hair, spreads well in application, provides excellent impression in use without showing any stickiness after application and hardly undergoes separation when compounded with an aqueous cosmetic preparation. <P>SOLUTION: The composition for external use comprises at least one partial ester (B) of amino acid obtained by neutralizing 30-100 mol% of carboxy groups in a partial ester (A) of amino acid using an alkali, provided that the partial ester (A) of amino acid is obtained through an esterification reaction carried out between N-acyl acidic amino acid (a) having a 6-30C acyl group and a diol (b) represented by formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a 6-30C hydrocarbon group; AO is a 2-6C oxyalkylene group; and m+n is 0-10). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
